Musings on Scarring

I was looking at my cheeks and thinking how much it sucks to get through acne, see the light at the end of the tunnel, only to be left with scars on my cheeks. It means I would always have to wear makeup or be self-conscious. What’s the point of healing my skin if there’s going to just be another thing wrong with it?
But then I looked into ways to get rid of scarring: Lasers, microdermabrasion, possible lipsuction to inject fat into your face. That’s too aggressive for the amount of scarring I have and honestly? It doesn’t bother me that much. Oddly, my face feels smooth and I’m happy with the way it’s behaving.
So, my consensus with myself is that if the scars really start to bother me, I’ll look into serious ways to get rid of them. Dr. Syed said that moisturizing will help and some of the scarring will fade over time. My co-worker Kumar says “don’t trouble the trouble until the trouble troubles you.” If I’m not troubled and concealer hides it, is there any point worrying about it? When I take my makeup off for doctor’s appointments and go outside, I don’t even worry about it showing.
Summary for the tl; dr: Unless it bothers me a lot, I’m not going to worry about it.
